Just as we reach the lighthouse at Cape Blanco, the edge of a cloud front moves overhead. They have been predicting stormy weather moving in later today - this must be the leading edge. The 59 foot tall lighthouse, towering 245 feet above the westernmost point in Oregon, is the oldest standing lighthouse; commissioned in 1870. |
