We check out Donner Pass Rd, the original route across the Sierra Nevada. It's a wonderful quiet, scenic route parallel to I-80 but with no traffic, so we can take a better look at the snow-covered mountains. There's some old snow sheds from the abandoned Central Pacific rail line on the mountainside. |
