| The snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains as we find ourselves in Monitor Pass just as the sun is about to go down. This stretch of road wasn't supposed to be open yet; some said it was, others said it wasn't, so we had taken the route into Nevada in order to bypass it. But we made a wrong turn and ended up heading that way by mistake anyways. Fortunately the road signs said the Pass was open, so we proceeded. |
