Navajo Bridge - May 2, 2009
There are actually two bridges here side by side, each 616 feet long and spanning the 467-foot-deep Colorado River chasm. The first bridge was built in 1929, and when a new bridge was recently built, they left the old one as a pedestrian bridge. This photo shows the old pedestrian bridge. The group of people on the left are in a long rope harness pulling their friend back up to the center of the bridge deck where the rest of their group is waiting to help the latest bungee-jumper back up over the railing.
