Ruins of the cliff dwelling, and two reconstructed round kivas in the foreground. Kivas were gathering places and sometimes also places to weave. Entry was by ladder through a hole in the center of the roof. Smoke from fires coated the underside of the rock overhang with a layer of black soot. |
