| It's a 3 km hike from the parking lot to Western Brook Pond, a spectacular inland fjord with cliffs rising straight up as much as 686 metres (2,250 ft.). The boat tour in the narrow 17 km long fjord only goes out once a day in June, and it's long over, so we take a pass on the lengthy hike. |
