Moose - June 27, 2008
Parts of Newfoundland are overrun by moose. Locals refuse to drive at night because of the danger they pose. Along the west coast drive you are pretty much guaranteed to see some - even in the middle of the day. Moose are hard to photograph, even when they are standing right at the side of the road. They are used to vehicles zooming by and totally ignore them, but as soon as we stop, the moose charge into the forest. These two stopped to turn around as they were running away, and have a second look at us from the safety of the trees. Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL
