| Much of the landscape is barren rock. Large Boulders lie scattered everywhere. There is no soil at all. The plants grow in a thin layer on the surface, like a carpet made of lichens, mosses, and low-growing hardy plants. Under the plant layer, there is just gravel and rocks. |
