Witless Bay - July 3, 2008
We went to Witless Bay to check out the whale action. Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, which includes the island shrouded in fog, protects the largest Atlantic Puffin colony in North America with 260,000 pairs, as well as the more than 620,000 pairs of Leach's Storm-petrels. Black-legged kittiwakes and common murres also live here in the thousands. Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL
