| One of the most photographed scenes in the Canadian Rockies - Spirit Island - which is actually not even an island (it is for a few days in early summer when the lake levels are highest). It can only be reached by tour boat (or a whole day of paddling a canoe). Tourists are given a mere ten minutes to get onshore and take photographs, and just as we arrived a huge cloud obscured the sun throwing the entire scene into shade. |
