| The main railway line runs parallel beside the Trans Canada Hwy through much of the prairies. All day long great long freight trains, often more than a kilometre in length, make their way either east or west. We had to stop for this train as we left Tompkins. Since we can drive faster than the train, when we were stopping to photograph the grain elevators in Gull Lake 20 km down the hwy, this exact train passed again - and I photographed it with the elevators in Gull Lake. I thought it would make a great challenge - to shoot this same train in every town it passed in Saskatchewan. But Jan said "No". |
