| We decided to take a different highway east through southern Saskatchewan. It was hot, and straight, and flat. Most of the Prairies are gently rolling, but this area was completely FLAT. And the road was completely STRAIGHT. Speeding trucks which passed us regularily would all eventually disappear below the curve of the earth on the horizon in front of us! I liked this shot of a field with mown wheat stalks. The stems of the harvested grains get cut and rolled into huge straw bales. |
