| It was time to prune down all my exotic hibiscuses, but I couldn't bring myself to cut off this Buckeye Colours bloom - it was just too beautiful - so it was the sole long branch left standing. Tomorrow when the flower has faded, the whole branch is coming off. Pruning is no fun, but it has to be done, or my plants will become unmanageable "trees". It will take awhile for the plant to start up new shoots, and it won't bloom again until July or August. |
