Trees on the Volcano - April 6, 2007
Sunset Crater Volcano erupted 900 years ago, continuing to send ash and debris over the entire area for more than 300 years. With the exception of some trees and a bit of shrubbery, the lava and volcanic debris looks amazingly fresh. I like this shot of these trees with their fresh green leaves in this hostile environment.
