Sunset Crater Volcano erupted 900 years ago, continuing to send ash and debris over the entire area for more than 300 years. With the exception of some trees and a bit of shrubbery, the lava and volcanic debris looks amazingly fresh. I like this shot of these trees with their fresh green leaves in this hostile environment. |
