| Standing at the water's edge, looking across Discovery Passage to Quadra Island, the Heritage Pavilion in Foreshore Park takes the form of a traditional plank house. One pair of carved house posts at each end supports crossbeams, which in turn carry the main roof beams. In earlier times, native villages would have had a long row of similarly constructed houses facing the water. |
