| This Kwakiutl-style pole carved by Richard Hunt, stands beside the Royal BC Museum. the bottom figures on the pole depict Bear holding Richard's longtime friend George Taylor (nicknamed 'Slash") who, as a young boy lost half his index finger in a reckless game with a sharp axe. The figure being held by Bear is missing his index finger as well. |
