| Eagle above Bear holding child was carved by Charlie James as a memorial for his daughter. The Human-figure pole was commissioned by Kamdatsa, a high ranking woman who lived to be over 100, but was unsatisfied with the size of the hat, so refused to pay for it. The pole lay on the beach for years before finally being raised in the 1950's. |
