| Came across a small stump surrounded by a mountain of pine-cones and pine-cone scales at the side of a path, and wondered what it was- there were several more piles of pine-cones in the same area. Then a squirrel appeared, and he sat balanced on top of the stump and proceeded to chew apart the pine-cone he was carrying, letting the scales fall all around him. . So that's what those piles were! |
