Golden Mounds - September 29, 2008
The yellow mounds appear golden in the evening sun. The Badlands rocks were laid down in layers. The tan and red layers are the result of repeated deposits on an ancient flood plain and are full of ancient mammal fossils. The yellow layer is the result of air coming in contact with ancient seabed mud. Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL
