| We got up early to try catch the sunrise at Cape Royal, but underestimated how long it would take to get there. First there was the ten miles from the campground, then 20 miles along Cape Royal Road, and it's a steep and winding mountain road with lots of switch-backs up onto the Walhalla Plateau, and it must be driven slowly. So we missed the bright red pre-dawn skies, and decided to stop at the Vista Encantada picnic pull-off before it was entirely too late. |
