| In Zion, unlike many of the other "Canyon" parks of the Southwest, visitors explore the bottom of the canyon instead of the top. The mountain cliffs rise several thousand feet above the Virgin River that flows through the Canyons. Ahead of us lies the Virgin River Canyon and the main part of the park. |
