| Gone are the harsh shadows from sunrise, and even though we are looking straight into the sun at the "shadow" side of the formations, they are being lit up by the light bouncing off the canyon walls. I'm finding a big umbrella very useful at these overlooks, as it provides shade and keeps the sun from shining straight into my camera. |
